I have been going to the OBX Salon for over two years and I appreciate the personalized service. Melanie starts and finishes each client. They are no interruptions and she takes all the time that is needed. The salon in well supplied with product and Melanie takes the time to explain in detail how products are to be used. Super lady! Great experience each time
I love this salon! Beautifully decorated, clean and friendly staff! Melanie D is an awesome stylist! She really knows about color and cuts! I will never go to anyone else!
Great shop, locally owned and operated by great people, who know everything about hair. They are conveniently located at Pirate’s Quay (the big propeller) on Nags Head. Most important the people, decor, music and service are all terrific, and you can pick a time that works for you and them online.

I went from homeless looking, to sexy in 30 minutes. Such nice people. True blue people who wont tell a lie. I was quoted $20, but after donating 5 bundles to locks of love. I was told no charge. 10/10 definitely recommend
Being a retired teacher with problem hair, I’m used to looking frumpy. Urged by my friends,I made an appointment with Melanie. From the start, she and the upbeat staff made me feel so welcomed. I not only left with a new “do”, but a positive outlook as well!
Best hair cut ever and a pleasure to be there. Great salon. Owner is a friendly, sweet, nice person who made me relaxed and comfortable (normally I don’t like going to barbers or dentists fussing over my head but she made it easy). Will be back. Thanks Melanie!
